Frankly, it makes little difference to me who took the photo that won the Pulitzer in '72, but there is, like so much these days, controversy. A recent photo of Nick Ut - an AP photographer in Vietnam - and Kim Phuc (the "Napalm Girl") was taken in April 2023 during the presentation of the Spanish edition of Kim Phuc's book at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship in San José, Costa Rica. I sent that to you via email. You're certainly right, the image of her running and and screaming is indelible...i.e., "punctum."
